About 

Mission Statement: The LGBT Center of Greater Reading creates, administers, and provides services, advocacy, and support to the Greater Reading LGBTQ+ community, including our allies, with the goal that all may live a life of fulfillment, inclusion and celebration. 

Vision Statement: The LGBT Center of Greater Reading expert resource to the LGBTQ+ community and our allies for advocacy, support services and fellowship on every aspect of the quality of life continuum

The LGBT Center of Greater Reading earned a 2020 GOLD Seal of Transparency from Guidestar by adding information to our nonprofit profile. Now our community members as well as 10+ million GuideStar users can find in-depth information about our goals, strategies, capabilities and progress.  We're shining a spotlight on the difference we help make in the world.

Reference and Referral

The LGBT Center of Greater Reading collaborates with thirty social service agencies and other service providers in the Greater Reading area. This collaboration of agencies was created to better serve the LGBTQ+ population of the area.

The LGBT Center of Greater Reading provides advocacy services for individuals as the need may arise and political advocacy based on issues pertaining to the LGBTQ+ community and social injustices.

Professional Development Training

The LGBT Center of Greater Reading provides professional development training to social service agencies, civic organizations, businesses, schools, etc. Examples of training include LGBTQ+ 101 (basic introduction to the LGBTQ+ community); the magnitude of oppression/ adversity faced by the LGBTQ+ community, transgender community, Ally-ship and best practices. Training is tailored to specific agency requests.

For seniors 50 +, every 4th Wednesday 12:00 -1:30. Featuring a free lunch and art centered activity.

Third Thirsty Thursdays

Parents Group

This group is offered to provide educational support for parents of children who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, gender non-conforming/binary. Call 610-864-5800 for details.

S.P.A.R.C.

Student, Parent, Ally, Resource Community. Where parents and students can connect with people who understand and can provide resources.  Meets every 2nd & 4th Saturday from 9:30-11am.

Share the Pride (Ages 18-49)

This group is designed to offer support and provide a community for LGBTQ+ young adults between the ages of 18 and 49. Meets the 2nd and 4th Friday of every month @ 6pm

Common Community (50+)

Common Community (50+)

Common Community Support Group offers an inclusive and confidential atmosphere to promote social connectivity, quality of life, and self-advocacy. We sometimes offer guest speakers on subjects of relevance to our age group. We occasionally meet socially to promote healthy connections. Meets 2nd Wednesday of every month @ 7pm

Tabletop Gaymers

Tabletop Gaymers

We are a tabletop gaming group hosted by the LGBT Center of Greater Reading. We will be meeting on the 4th Friday of every month at 7PM. It doesn't matter how much or how little experience you have in playing tabletop games, we would love to have you nonetheless! For more information and to know what to bring, please contact our group at: tabletopgaymersrdg@outlook.com, where an admin of the group will be happy to assist you!
