Grow Your Vision

The LGBT Center of Greater Reading provides support, advocacy, and resources to the Greater Reading LGBTQ+ Community and our allies.

Our Greater Reading Center is open 7 days a week:

Monday - Friday 10 am - 8 pm

Saturday 10 am - 2 pm

Sunday 11 am - 3 pm

 

We’ve also added more food pantry hours (Free shelf-stable food and toiletries)

Monday 12 pm - 3 pm

Tuesday 5 pm - 7 pm

Wednesday 11 am - 1 pm

Thursday 5 pm - 7 pm

Friday 11 am - 1 pm

Food pantry services on weekends will be grab-and-go (pre-made bags) during the operational hours listed above.

Counseling Services

We offer various counseling services at no or little charge to clients!

 

• Individual Counseling

• Couples Counseling

• Family Counseling

• Group Therapy

• Psychiatric Referrals

• HRT and Gender Affirming

Surgery Referrals

• Letters for Hormone Replacement Therapy and Gender Affirming Surgery

 

 

  • 1-3 counseling sessions are required for letters.
    Letters will confirm that WPATH Standards of
    Care has been met.

  • WPATH Standards include a diagnosis of gender dysphoria, adequate support for pre-and post-operative care, and screening for cognitive defects.

  • 1 letter required for HRT and Top Surgery; 2 letters
    are required for bottom surgery.

Services are rendered by licensed counselors as well as masters-level interns under supervision.  This allows us to offer our services free of charge to our clients.  Services are offered by appointment only.  Call 610-927-5531 or email counseling@lgbtcenterofreading.com for an appointment.
